OUR BELIEFS

The foundations of faith.

WHAT IS A UNITED METHODIST CHURCH?

Our Belief:

We believe that God is: God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that because of the sin that alienated humanity from God, God sent His Son to offer a way through which humanity might be forgiven reconciled to God and be given spiritual rebirth.

We believe that this saving grace is open to all who would accept Jesus Christ, as there is no other way through which humanity can be saved.

We believe that once a person has been cleansed of sin through acceptance of God’s grace through Christ, God comes to live in a person’s heart and enables them to become a new person in Christ Jesus.

We believe that this newness is Christ should be manifested in holiness of heart, mind and actions which should be displayed through loving God with all that we are and loving our neighbor as ourselves.
